My Story

My name is Mary Parr, born on the South Suburban side of Chicago. I’ve worked in the modeling industry for several years doing runway fashion shows, hair shows, promotional events, and small commercials. In January, 2003, I was issued as the centerfold swimsuit model in the Jet Beauty of The Week, in the Jet magazine. A few years later I got married, became a stepmother and superwoman all at the same time. It was not easy making a transition from being an independent swimsuit model to a becoming a new wife and stepmother. My life became overwhelming and started to spiral out-of-control. I felt lost and didn’t know where to turn, but to food. Food became my comfort zone and allowed me to cope with my frustration and feelings toward life. A couple years later everyone around me noticed a change and became worried about my well-being. I didn’t understand what they were talking about until one day I looked in the mirror and began to weep. I didn’t recognize my own self. My face was fat, arms like ham hocks and my thighs rubbed together like sandpaper. At That very moment, I began to change my life. My mental kicked in and all I could hear myself say was “Change Your Mind and you will change your body”. I start reading books about the body and what it takes to lose weight. I read about your metabolism, good carbs vs. bad carbs, how to eat right, portion control, planning etc and After that, I started developing my own meal plans to see what works and through trial and error I found the solution. As a result of that, I lost 70 pounds in 50 months and the first 20 pounds was from changing my nutrition only. Today I’m a certified Personal trainer, Health coach and certified Life Coach. My passion is to help educated others on how to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle, and by following my exact program method, you to can change your body, but only if you change your mind first!
